Terms
The terms of using Future Dux
Last updated 24 September 2026
Future Dux is an online tutor for children preparing for the NSW Opportunity Class and Selective High School placement tests. These terms are between us and the parent or guardian who creates the account. We’ve kept them short and plain; how we handle information is in our privacy policy.
Who can use it
An adult parent or guardian creates the account, by invitation while we’re starting out, and adds their children. Children use Future Dux with that adult’s permission, and the adult is responsible for their children’s accounts and for keeping sign-in details safe. A parent can invite a co-parent or a family member to follow a child.
What it costs
The first 500 children get their first school term free. After that it’s A$120 per school term. There’s no payment system yet, so nothing can be charged without you choosing to pay, and we’ll tell you how paying works before your free term ends.
What the tutor does, and doesn’t
The tutor uses AI to explain ideas, give hints and respond to your child. Every maths question is checked by a program before a child sees it, but explanations can still be wrong now and then: if something looks wrong, tell us with “This looks wrong” and a person will look at it. Future Dux helps children practise and learn; it can’t promise a test result or a place. We aren’t part of, or endorsed by, the NSW Department of Education.
Using it fairly
Please keep each account for your own family, don’t try to break, copy or overload the service, and don’t upload anyone else’s personal information, or material you don’t have the right to share. What children type is checked so we can keep them safe.
Whose work is whose
Our questions, explanations and designs belong to us. Your child’s own work, like their writing and explanations, stays theirs; you let us use it only to run Future Dux for your family. We don’t sell anyone’s information.
Ending
You can delete a child’s account, or your own, at any time from Settings. If an account is used in a way that harms others or the service, we may pause it, and we’ll tell you why.
Changes, and the law
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you before it takes effect. Nothing here takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales.
